Questions are read aloud to candidates
Candidates now hear each Speaking and Writing question in a natural voice as well as reading it, in the language of the test.
A speaking test should measure how someone speaks, not how quickly they read the question. Candidates now hear every question read aloud in a natural voice, in the language being assessed, while the text appears on screen.
The one exception is the read-aloud passage in Speaking, which is never spoken for the candidate. Hearing it first would let them copy the reading, and the reading is what that section scores.
Questions in your own libraries can be voiced too, from the library page, whenever you choose. Edit a question’s wording and the library tells you its recording is out of date, so a candidate never hears something different from what they are scored against.
