Integrity checks, and no pasting for anyone

Turn on integrity checks for an assessment, or for your whole account, and the report notes when a candidate left the test, pasted, or had a paragraph appear at once. No webcam, no extra cost.

Remote assessments raise a fair question: was it really the candidate, and was it really unaided? Integrity checks give a reviewer the facts to judge that for themselves.

With checks on, the report shows when a candidate switched away from the test and for how long, whether they copied a question, whether text arrived in an answer all at once rather than being typed, and whether a second screen was connected. Everything is browser activity. There is no camera, no screen recording and nothing that costs you a credit.

The report states observations, never a verdict, and nothing in it changes a CEFR level. A second monitor is usually a work laptop and a tab switch is usually a notification, so the thresholds are set high and the raw counts are always shown alongside. Candidates are told exactly what is recorded before they begin.

Separately, pasting into a written answer is now blocked for every candidate, checked or not. An answer that came from the clipboard is not an answer to a writing test.
